ESL One Cologne 2018: loss vs G2

Starting with a defeat

The first game of NAVI.GG.BET at ESL One Cologne 2018 was against the French team G2. The game was played on de_inferno, and ended with 14:16, as the first match goes to the French team.

The game started off very well for Natus Vincere, as we picked up the first pistols round, and claimed 3 first points. By round 4 we were able to get good guns and deny the opponent a chance to get even a single point on the board - 4:0. The domination by NAVI continued, as we strung round after round. Eventually, we claimed the victory in the first half and started working on enlarging the gap. Unfortunately, NAVI didn't manage to make the difference too big, as the first half ended with 10:5 on the board. G2 finally managed to come online.

The second half, though, did not go too well. We dropped the first three rounds but claimed the first gun round. Unfortunately, the next one reset us right bad, and our economy suffered a bad blow. This allowed the opponents to take 2 more rounds before we got on board another one. Still, that wasn't enough to establish a solid advantage, as slowly but surely,  G2 tied the game. Eventually, the game came to 15:14, and G2 managed to win the game 16:14.
