FACEIT Major 2018: victory over FaZe Clan

A great comeback!

NAVI.GG.BET faced off against  FaZe Clan at FACEIT Major 2018. The heated series on Overpass saw many unexpected rounds, but ultimately, we take the game 16:12 after coming back in the second half.

OVERPASS - NATUS VINCERE [16:12] FAZE CLAN

The game took place on Overpass. FaZe Clan took the lead right away, taking the pistols and 2 following rounds. The gun round saw  NAVI retaliate, coming online for the first point of the game. Unfortunately, this round didn't give us much, as FaZe claimed their 4th point right away. We didn't manage to solidify our position in the half still, only getting another one, while FaZe went on a 3 round streak yet again.

As the half went on, we managed to get a nice streak, but the economy still wasn't too good, partially because we were losing players. Slowly but surely,  FaZe Clan reclaimed the initiative, and never let it go till the end of the first half. The first half ended with 5:10 on the scoreboard, and we had a lot of work ahead of us in the second half.

Switching sides, we dropped the pistols, but bounced right back. Spectacular plays from  NAVI secured a solid series. Defuses were coming in very often, and very soon, we found ourselves finally crossing the double digits. The game stabilized for CT side, as FaZe didn't get anything done except for the first round of this half. Unfortunately, the lead didn't last that long, as the T side pulled off a 2v1 plant - 12:12.

NAVI managed to reset the economy of FaZe, securing an uncontested passage all the way to the match point. The final round of the game saw  NAVI put on a very confident performance, only losing a player - the game ends 16:12 our way.
