ESL One: Road to Rio
ESL One: Road to Rio CIS will run online from April 30 to May 17. The prize pool is $ 50,000.
Since deciding to step away from direct invites, Valve will be determining the new major's participants through regional qualifiers. StarLadder Berlin Major 2019 participants received from 300 to 800 points depending on the place taken in the championship. So, Natus Vincere got 600 points. The winner of the current even will get 1500 points.
The championship will include a group stage and playoffs. The first stage will be Round Robin and only 6 teams - 3 per group, will advance further. So, the winners of the groups will go straight to the semifinals of the tournament, and the teams that take 2nd and 3rd places will have to start playing from the quarterfinal. All games will be bo3. The playoffs will use a classic single-elimination bracket, with bo3.
