CS2 / News / 29 January 2022 — 12:00

NAVI's CS:GO team will begin its 2022 run with the BLAST Premier: Spring Groups. The organizers have changed the format of the group stage. Now it will now consist of three stages.

First, 12 teams will be divided into three equal groups, which will compete in the Double Elimination bracket. All group matches will be best of 1  and take place on the same day. Then the tournament participants awaits the Play-In stage. The best team in each group will go straight to the third round of the Play-In. The second-best teams in the groups will start the Play-In stage from the second round. The third and fourth place teams will start in the first round. Teams that win the third-round of the Play-In stage will go to the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022, while teams that lose in rounds two and three will advance to the Last Chance Matches. That will determine three more participants in the BLAST Premier Spring Finals. The remaining teams will advance to the Showdown. Play-In and Last Chance Matches will be played in bo3 format.

His replacement will be a player from MIBR Academy under the nickname brnz4n - he has several times replaced players in the main roster, including on BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021. At that time the MIBR team took fourth place in the group without winning a single map.

The duel NAVI and MIBR, will be followed by OG and Astralis match. Aleksib left the European team, he transferred to G2 Esports, which, in turn, nexa moved to OG. Astralis roster has remained unchanged after the winter break. The Danes have already played in the Funspark ULTI 2021, where they took 5-6th place, losing to Entropiq (1 : 2).
