IEM Katowice 2022: victory over FURIA Esports

After a hard-fought victory over ENCE in the first round of IEM Katowice 2022, NAVI will face FURIA Esports. The game starts at 16:00 CET, the format is bo3. 

The last time NAVI and FURIA met was last May at DreamHack Masters Spring 2021. That time, the Born to Win won with a score of 2 to 1. Since then, the Brazilian team made two replacements. In August, drop from the academy squad of FURIA was moved up in the ranks. At the end of November, VINI was benched, and in early February it was announced that his place will be taken by saffee who previously played for paiN Gaming. 

FURIA's first tournament of 2022 was Pinnacle Winter Series #1. In the first match of the tournament, they lost to Wisla Krakow. After that, the Brazilian squad had time to play in ESL Challenger #48 where they easily made it out of the group in the first place. In the semifinals, they beat 9z with a score of 2 : 1. In the battle for the title, they lost to Virtus.pro (0 : 2).
