Esports World Cup 2025: Dota 2 Tournament Details

On July 8, the long-awaited Dota 2 tournament will kick off as part of the Esports World Cup 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Among the participants isNAVI, featuring former members of the junior roster for the first time.

A total of 16 teams will take part in the championship: 8 of them received direct invitations thanks to being in the top 8 of the ESL Pro Tour ranking, while the other 8 qualified through regional stages. Let us remind you that Born to Win also made it through the regional qualifiers, where they left no chance for their opponents.

The tournament format includes three stages. The first is a classic group stage, where the best teams from each of the four groups advance to the playoffs.

The remaining teams move on to the knockout stage, where four more teams will be determined to continue in the tournament. Teams that finish 3rd and 4th in their groups start in round one, while 2nd place teams enter from round two.

The playoffs feature a Single Elimination bracket with best of 3 matches, and a best of 5 grand final. One unique feature of this event is the presence of a third-place match.

NAVI ended up in a tough group with Talon, Team Spirit, and Xtreme Gaming. Our boys will play their first match on July 8 at 12:00 against Talon.

The prize pool for the Dota 2 tournament is $3,000,000, with $1,000,000 going to the champion. In addition, teams will compete for points that contribute to the overall club ranking across all disciplines at the festival.
