The International 2025: patch before the tournament
The company Valve has released a patch dedicated to the main tournament of the year in Dota 2 — The International 2025. The update includes team support bundles, a new chest with in-game items, and the long-awaited Compendium.
The support bundles are presented in the already traditional three tiers — bronze, silver, and gold. Their prices are €1.65, €8.30, and €16.65 respectively. In addition, regional studios have also released their own bundles: for example, you can purchase one from Maincast.
50% of the sales revenue from the bundles will go directly to the players, while another 30% will add to the tournament’s prize pool. More details about the contents can be found in our news article.
The developers have also introduced the Tyrian Regalia treasure. It contains 5 previously released Immortal-quality items, but now recolored in purple shades to match the tournament’s theme. The chest can be obtained with Compendium points. Items are account-bound and cannot be traded.
And most importantly — the Compendium is free for all players! For the first time in the game’s history, all of its features are available: players can earn rewards, assemble a fantasy team, and make predictions.
Let us remind you that The International 2025 will take place from September 4 to 14 in Hamburg, Germany. The starting prize pool of the tournament is $1,600,000, with 16 of the world’s best teams competing for it.
