BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: no margin for error

CS2 / Coverage / 16 May 2023 — 12:00

Today the NAVI CS:GO team will play probably the most important match in the Legends Stage of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. The best-of-3 match against FaZe Clan will start at 11:30 CEST: the winner will qualify for the playoffs and the loser will leave the tournament.

In the Legends stage, NAVI have had mixed success, beating GamerLegion (16 : 10 Mirage) and Ninjas in Pyjamas (16 : 9 Overpass), but losing to Team Liquid (8 : 16 Inferno) and Monte Esports (0 : 2).

FaZe Clan`s journey in the Legends was more dramatic. After two defeats in a row against Heroic (7 : 16 Inferno) and Into The Breach (12 : 16 Inferno), the European team was on the verge of leaving the major tournament but managed to rehabilitate themselves. First, the Europeans beat 9INE (16 : 10 Inferno, 16 : 8 Anubis), then yesterday in a close game they snatched a victory from the Bad News Eagles (2 : 1).

Admittedly, NAVI and FaZe Clan are not in the best shape right now. In 2023, the teams met twice (1 : 1): Born to Win was stronger on three of the five maps. The last face-to-face match took place at the recent BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Europe RMR A: then NAVI beat FaZe Clan twice without much trouble.

Our partner GG.BET could not pick a clear favorite for today's match but gives a slight preference to Faze. We are waiting for all CS:GO fans on the official broadcasts!
