Nodirbek Abdusattorov has finished his run at the Champions Chess Tour 2025 — Chess.com Classic, where he secured 4th place. The NAVI player earned $10,000 and 50 tour points — just enough to qualify for the chess championship at the Esports World Cup 2025!

Nodirbek received a direct invitation to the tournament and started from the upper bracket of the playoffs. First, the NAVI player defeated Denis Lazavik (3:1), then confidently beat Wei Yi (2.5:0.5). After that, Nodirbek lost to Magnus Carlsen (1:3) and dropped into the lower bracket.

There, our player faced Vladimir Fedoseev in a very tight match that ended in Nodirbek’s favor (1.5:1.5, win by tiebreaks). In the next round, he went up against Maxime Vachier-Lagrave but couldn’t clinch the victory and was eliminated from the competition (0:2).

Still, the points he earned were enough to qualify for the Esports World Cup 2025. The biggest chess event of the year will take place from July 29 to August 1, with a prize pool of $1,500,000 on the line.
