Nodirbek Abdusattorov wins bronze at FIDE Freestyle Chess 2026
NAVI player Nodirbek Abdusattorov secured third place at the FIDE Freestyle Chess World Championship 2026 in Wangels, defeating BASILISK representative Vincent Keymer in the bronze medal match.
For his performance, Nodirbek earned $ 40 000 and also received an invitation to compete in next year’s edition of the event.
The tournament was played under Fischer Random (Chess960) rules, where the starting positions of the pieces are randomly generated according to specific guidelines, making every game unique.
In the group stage, Nodirbek finished fourth with three wins, two losses, and two draws.
