NAVI learn their first opponent in the EWC 2026 playoffs

The organizers of the Counter-Strike 2 tournament at the main esports festival of the year, Esports World Cup 2026, have conducted the playoff draw. The matches of this stage will take place from August 19 to 23.

NAVI’s first opponent will be South American representatives Legacy. The match is scheduled for August 20 at 13:00, with the series being played in a best-of-3 format.

As a reminder, Born to Win previously made it through the group stage, where they defeated 3DMAX (13 : 9 on Inferno) and MongolZ in succession. The match against the latter was particularly intense: 13 : 5 on Inferno, 9 : 13 on Ancient, and 13 : 8 on Mirage.

As for Legacy, the team first defeated NIP (13 : 5 on Cache) in the group stage before losing to FaZe Clan — 0 : 2 (6 : 13 — Cache; 8 : 13 — Mirage). In the Lower Bracket match, Legacy eliminated another South American representative, MIBR — 0 : 2 (13 : 11 on Nuke; 13 : 8 on Inferno) — to advance to the playoffs.

The most recent head-to-head match between NAVI and Legacy ended in a victory for our team. However, it is worth remembering that the two meetings before that were won by the opposition.
