IEM Road to Rio 2022 RMR B: first match vs. Illuminar

In the first match of the European qualifiers for IEM Rio Major 2022, the NAVI CS:GO team will face Illuminar Gaming. The start of the bo1 match is scheduled for 19:45.

The Poles from Illuminar Gaming were not able to directly qualify for the European RMR. In the open qualifier, the team failed to pass a mix, the Benched Heroes, which includes ex-NAVI Junior players - Aunkere and fear (16 : 14 Mirage, 20 : 22 Dust 2, 14 : 16 Nuke). However, in an additional match, Illuminar Gaming confidently outplayed Forward on three maps (16 : 9 Ancient, 11 : 16 Dust 2, 16 : 7 Mirage), which allowed them to get a slot in the tournament as Benched Heroes failed to secure their visas.

NAVI, in turn, finished playing at the ESL Pro League Season 16 a few days ago. Our team stopped in the quarterfinals, where they could not defeat G2, and took 5-8th place, earning $27,500.

Recently, Illuminar Gaming played against the women's NAVI team at the ESEA Open Season 42. Then the Polish derby ended in favor of our today's opponent with a score of 2:0 (6 : 16 on Nuke, 7 : 16 on Dust 2).
