NAVI place 3rd–4th at StarLadder Budapest Major 2025

The second semifinal match of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 concluded just minutes ago. Unfortunately, NAVI CS2 team lost to FaZe Clan in a close match with a score of 1 : 2 and finished 3rd–4th in the tournament. The performance earns Born to Win $80,000.

NAVI's placement at the tournament can be considered a success. Coming into the competition as a dark horse pick, our guys cruised through Stage 2 with a 3–0 record, defeating FlyQuest (13 : 2 Train), Imperial (13 : 10 Mirage), and B8 (2 : 0) along the way.

Stage 3 was no cakewalk: with losses to FURIA (2 : 13 Nuke) and Vitality (0 : 2), the team found itself one step away from elimination. However, having previously defeated PV (13 : 6 Ancient) and paiN (13 : 8 Dust 2), NAVI managed to beat B8 for the second time (2 : 0) in the decisive match to advance.

The biggest surprise for NAVI fans came in our first playoff bout. HLTV.org's top-ranked FURIA was considered the clear favorite, but that didn't deter Born to Win. After a flawless Mirage (13 : 5 in our favor), the Brazilians managed to tie the score on Inferno (13 : 16), but then got virtually washed on Train (13 : 3).

The tournament semifinals saw NAVI lose to FaZe Clan and finish their run in 3rd-4th place.
